We all know and recognize that our alumni from IIT Bombay have made their mark not only as technocrats but also as innovators, entrepreneurs, leaders, public servants and social activists. The 50th anniversary of IIT Bombay is an occasion to look back with pride at the achievements of the IIT Bombay family. Along with the celebrations it is also an occasion where we, as a family, can think of ways to take up a cause to make a positive difference to the country. Earlier this year, in a public address, our revered ex-President Dr. Abdul Kalam expressed a vision that every IITian should adopt one village in the country. It is keeping this larger vision in mind that we made a small beginning in Ittamadu, a village 50 kms from Bangalore in 2005.

With some experience at our back, we are now working towards turning our mission into reality. Come, be a part of this journey and help us build our beloved nation.
